Bird Ornaments

Beginning with bird ornaments may sound or even seem to be odd, but it is actually historical and traditional to initiate with bird ornaments.

Prior to the advent of plastics, Christmas ornaments were hand made using bird feathers, besides making replicas of birds and birdhouses to put on Christmas trees.

Some of the common birds used are peacocks, cardinals, partridges and blue jays. However, the most loved decoration is a pigeon.

It is even considered as a symbol of the Holy Spirit.Birds are always found on trees is a known feature, but it looks really adorable to see a bird on a Christmas tree, even though it is an ornament.
