Christmas Greeting Cards
The picture on a Christmas greeting card is usually something to do with Santa Claus, his reindeer, gift boxes or other media-inspired Christmas ideals. In fact, more than 66% of Christmas cards are to do with the media’s view on Christmas. This view is little more than a commercialized money-making holiday.
Christians, however, have a different view of Christmas. They believe that Christmas is all about the birth of Jesus Christ, which is a very important day for them. They celebrate his birth on Christmas because if he had not been born, he would not have been able to save men from their sins with his death on Easter. Therefore, it is a very special occasional for them.
It is for this reason that Christian Christmas greeting cards are very different from commercialized ones. Christian versions often feature images of the baby that is Jesus Christ, or perhaps his mother and father on Earth, Mary and Joseph. In fact, Christian versions will usually feature any symbolic person or object that is prominent in the bible’s story of the birth of Christ.
The issue with Christian Christmas greeting cards is that if you send one to the wrong person, they could get offended. Like-wise, if you send a commercialized, media-oriented Christmas greeting card to a strict Christian, they are likely to be quite offended as well. Though this will not happen with every family if you mistakenly send the wrong one, this is still a danger that needs to be considered when sending out the yearly cards.
These Christian Christmas greeting cards are known for usually being quite beautiful in design, and usually very unique with a lovely message inside. They are usually done in beautiful colours, with powerful symbolism and generally look quite charming and aesthetically pleasing. To send one of these little beauties to a Christian friend or relative at Christmas time would be a lovely way to say ‘Merry Christmas,’ and they will almost undoubtedly appreciate you for this lovely gesture.
